Research Leadership, Innovation, and Purpose-Driven Impact

Participating in the International Women’s Day 2025 program themed “Enriching Women’s Path” was an inspiring and transformative experience that encouraged me to think beyond limitations and embrace leadership, innovation, and purposeful impact. Listening to accomplished women share their journeys and experiences reminded me of the importance of confidence, collaboration, and creating solutions that address real societal challenges. One of the biggest lessons I took away from the program was the importance of collaboration and confidence in my ideas, especially when working with others to solve real-world problems under pressure.

As part of the team that won second place during the innovation challenge, we developed ComfortCheck, an AI-powered portable breast health monitoring device designed to make early detection more accessible and affordable for women, particularly in underserved communities.

Serving as the Project Leader and Research Analyst, I coordinated the research process, analyzed gaps in existing breast health technologies, guided idea development, and contributed to structuring our final presentation.

Beyond the competition, the experience strengthened my leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills while reigniting my passion for using research and innovation to create meaningful impact. Most importantly, it reinforced my belief that women belong in leadership, innovation, and decision-making spaces.
